Local tabloid tbt* sponsored and chose the acts for this show. I'm not sure how, though, considering the publication drools over every Tampa Bay band like a sophomore in love with the lead singer. Ranting aside, many of the acts tbt* is showcasing Saturday should be familiar to Creative Loafing readers: Rapper Aych (along with his Umbrella Corporation) and singer/songwriter Rebekah Pulley have both appeared on the cover of CL in the past year; honky-tonk hero Blind Buddy Moody collected a CL Best of the Bay critic's award, and garage-rockers Très Bien, who I interviewed in February, performed a brief but killer set at CL's Sensory Overload bash the following month -- so I can vouch for all of them, as well as visceral prog-rockers Red Room Cinema and melodic indie-rockers Win Win Winter.

if these local scenesters spent more time honing thier chops instead of waiting for you to make a mistake so they can flood your blog like a bunch little kids in the waaambulance, perhaps the talent would be more worthy of reporting here in tampa.

Is that actually an EXCUSE, Wade? You actually USED TBT's OLD information to phone-in your pitiful excuse for a...wait, what would you call that piece of crap you posted above? A blurb? A TBT bashing? And you waited until deadline? So here you are, busy dissing TBT, and then you totally admit to velcro-ing their online page to get the line-up for your paragraph o'garbage. CYA, and do your own research next time. But, hey, that's what a real journalist, or someone at TBT, would do; what would you know about it?
