Taking their name from a cemetery in the town where frontman Jamie Barrier was raised, the Pine Hill Haints produce a self-described style of "Alabama ghost country music" that combines the flavors of bluegrass, folk, Southern roots, honky tonk and alt-country. Barrier belts out their rousing tunes in a homegrown drawl and plays guitar, wife Katie "Kat" Barrier sits in on washboard and mandolin, Ben Rhyne brings snare drum rhythms, Matt Bakula performs on washtub bass and banjo, and Mike Posey rounds it all out with his accordion harmonies.
