TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
This weekend, the largest synchronized celebration of peace and global consciousness occurs at roughly 250 sites around the world. Locally, EarthDance 2006 is hosted in Safety Harbor and diversions include: live music by Impulse and Jazz Ole plus live spins by DJ Uno, Suzy Solar and Steve Graham from TampaHouseMusic.com; drumming workshops; a drum circle led by the House Invasion Crew and DJ Apple with special guest Macarron; a global village with tasty eats from around the world; a poetry slam; arts, crafts and sustainable living exhibits; and special performance pieces by West Florida Ballet and Premier Dance Academy. At 7 p.m., all Earthdance events link up via the internet and attendees participate in a worldwide dance to the same song: "Prayer For Peace." Proceeds raised at the event benefit Safety Harbor Museum and WMNF-88.5 FM. Sat., Sept. 16, 2-11 p.m., Safety Harbor Museum of Regional History, 329 Bayshore Blvd. S., and Hildegarde's Art House, Third Ave. S., Safety Harbor, pay-what-you-can admission, www.earthdance.org.
