Great Wing.

   I am a wing person, these are probably the best wings I've had in years. Been looking for a good place in Tampa, I found it here; ask for their in-house hot sauce, it really HOT. Service is great.Girls are HOT too.

The Best Barbeque in Florida

   Finally,a place that has the best barbeque ribs east of Beaumont Texas. Not only barbeque but a great selection of side dishes, the even offer duck. My wife and I go there at least once a week. Their service is great, the most beautiful and smiley staff I have seen in a restaurant lately; overall I highly recommend it.

The best BBQ i have had in a long time

   When i lived in Louisiana i got used to eating the best BBQ ever. when i moved to tampa bay there wasn't a place i could find that compared until i stumbled upon Smoke Grill. I felt right at home.

Nice guy

   I am a regular at Smoke Grill and i know that there is two guys, one that has a gray beard thats almost never there and another one that is really nice thats alway there greeting people. every time i go there the food is great, service is great and the people are really nice. Smoke is one of my favorite places to go take my friends and family to eat.

very good bbq

   I was a little hesistant about tryin this place based on the reviews that were previously posted. With that being said, i gave this place a try a its was fantastic. I strongly suggest that you try the bbq chicken wings they are AWESOME!!! My sister and i ordered the beef ribs and they were very good.The only hang up i have about this place is that they are a little stingy with da sauce but other that that i recommend that i at least try this place. and to those who left the comments in sept, give the place one more try u might be surprised...

   i don't know what happened with the other patrons who reviewed 'smoke', but i think the place is fabulous. and gordon, the guy with the gray beard, has always been nothing but nice. this is one of my very favorite restaurants in tampa.

UNBELIEVABLE!

   I will never go back to this establishment! The other night i witnessed the owner of the restaurant move a couple with a newborn baby from the inside to the outside patio where there was loud music playing. There were no lines, and open seating available. The owner obviously did not like the fact that these patrons sat at a table where it would fit four. Little to owners knowledge, the guy he moved was a former NBA player who was well over seven feet tall. He clearly needed the extra space, and with the baby, I could not believe my eyes that this guy was being so rude in moving them. I believe the patrons left immediately and I cannot blame them. I will never ever go back to this place. What ever happened to the service industry. Classless!

Man with Gray beard?? Rude dont go when he is there!!

   Food is good, so is the waitstaff...we were eating here 2 to 3 nights a week since it opened. However,if you walk in and see the manager with the gray beard... the best suggestion I can give would be to turn around and walk out. He is very high strung and rude. The waitstaff is amazing, yet he treats them poorly. He makes it his personal effort to give you an unpleasant dining experience. He moved us from our table twice and talked to us like he didn't want our business. The waiter apologized profusely...but we probably won't go back. Prices are good, but when you go out to dinner you want to enjoy the experience not be treated like its an inconvenience to have your business. It's almost like the place is doing so good that the owner is on a high horse.

   Smoke is "all smoke". Got everyone excited a couple Friday's ago and gave it a try on Brian's recommendation (in fairness, his review gave some warnings). Frankly, I was embarrassed! The slab barbecue was dry, not "wet" as ordered, so little sauce to put on them, you used a spoon (they give you 2 kinds of sauce in 2 small cups - each about 3 tbls) - I couldn't believe it then and I still can't)! The duck was not cooked enough and you had to saw the meat off the bone - the taste was flat, without any zest at all - dead! The kabob was interesting only because it hung from a hook over the meal - 3 pcs. of uninteresting sausage and a few grilled onions, peppers. I should of known what lie ahead when we sat down and the waitress (don't remember the name, but a very pleasant girl), when asked about the brisket, said, "we have not quite got it down yet - still trying to perfect it". Folks, there are scores of really good barbecue joints in this area - go to one! Frankly, Smoke, is just "smoke".
