Good point. The three of us ordered sandwiches and a couple drinks but were treated like royals dropping hundreds of dollars. The bartender was even cool when Mike apologetically requested A-1 sauce.

My experience at Bern's Winefest was also excellent and all the Bern's staff I meet at Tiny Tap Tavern are good people.

Big props to whoever does the hiring at Bern's, the service at least equals the famed food and wine.

Here's what I wrote about the incident on my blog, TampaCalling.com:

New Granada: Thanks for posting the correct info. All the info I had at deadline was the tbt* online page; Skipper's had yet to note the bands at the time. The tbt* page (see link below) features the 10 artists, info on how to vote for your favorite and reads: "Don't Miss Seeing These Bands Live at the Ultimate Local Music Showcase Saturday, May 10 at Skipper's Smokehouse."

Jeffrey: Victor Wooten show is advanced in Music Week.

VICTOR WOOTEN He's one of the most lauded electric bassists on the planet, with jaw-dropping chops and an orchestral approach to his playing. Wooten came to prominence as part of banjoist Bela Fleck's band (he's still a member) but is probably more active leading his own groups. (Jannus Landing, St. Petersburg) --ES

Toby Keith regularly goes to Iraq and Afghanistan to visit the troops. But he never dares approach the front lines and try to stick his boot up a terrorists' ass like he promises in song.

I had a lot euphemisms to choose from. It was a tough call. Hope you approved.

We disclosed that Durium worked here in my Umbrella Corporation cover story. This article was about tbt* and Black Reign, not the network to which he belongs. Plus, by the time I wrote this piece Durium was no longer employed here. Here's the link: http://tampa.creativeloafing.com/gyrobase/Content?oid=oid%3A301584
