TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
New York indie foursome Rahim has enjoyed some good press for its recently-released sophomore effort, Laughter, including a "Buzzcatcher" write up from Spin and a nod from the music snobs at Pitchfork.com, which gave Laughter a 7.6 out of 10 and praised the band for producing "the anxious sounds of 1990's DC post-punk with a twist of pop savvy." Rahim performs at New World Brewery; Tampa's Mogul Street Reserve and The Tape Delay provide support. 9 p.m., 1313 Eighth Ave., E., Ybor City, $7 (21 and up), 813-248-4969.
