TODAY’S CREATIVE LOVING PROFILE
The Bay area's very own comic/poet/actor ranney closes a run of rhythmic, consciousness-expanding, spoken word-influenced stand up this weekend at TBPAC. During "LOL: An evening with Mr. FunnyBlackman," the self-proclaimed illuminatus of comedy develops brand new material for his forthcoming one-man show and debut DVD, The Chicken or the Egg. Expect trivial thoughts, cliches and funny observations delivered with ranney's trademark theatrics. Through Aug. 30, 10:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., Shimberg Playhouse-TBPAC, 1010 N. MacInnes Place, downtown Tampa, $5, 813-229-7827, jobsitetheater.org.
